[The goal is to create a product in confrontation with artificial intelligence]
To what extent can AI independently create?
Evaluation based on the confrontation of both outputs – designer versus AI design.
The studio work consists of two parts:
A – Analysis of the use of artificial intelligence in product design
Searching for ways of appropriate use of AI tools in the creation of product design.
Working method:
– Introductory seminar, presentation of existing tools usable in design practice
– Analysis of selected tools
– Testing the functions of individual algorithms and prompt input forms (text and image input), efficient output generation
Output: text document, joint presentation of the identified results.
B – Design of applied subject with application of AI tools
Application of analysis results in different stages of the design process. Confronting the designer's proposal with the AI's opinion. Final output.
Working method:
– 1/ Phase: Designer proposal
– 2/ Phase: AI design based on the input specification, correction of the designer's design using AI auxiliary tools.
– 3/ Phase: Final product (based on the previous phases, either by merging them, revising the original proposal or correcting independent proposals Ai)
Outputs: PDF presentation, poster composed of both outputs, joint portfolio, model of the designer's proposal.
