Roman catholic church in Prague - Holešovice

A part of the newly proposed block structure on the border of today’s Prague – Holešovice surroundings and undeveloped areas in the place of the former Bubny freight railway station, on the corner of Partyzánská and Vrbenského streets. Exact orientation east – west of the church causes a deviation from the expected direction of the building and an offset of the adjacent blocks street lines. These aspects increase the importance of the building. The use of bricks as the main material refers to an industrial history of Holešovice. The church is designed in a way supporting a traditional use of bricks with usual methods. The church is composed from seven parts of same size referring to symbolics of number seven in Christian religion as a number of perfection.
